Impossible not to appreciate the lure of the unknown, the breeze filling the sails and the gentle rocking movements of the waves. Cervia, as a seaside town and old village of fishermen and sailors, is obviously closely tied to the sea by an unbreakable umbilical cord: the Adriatic. It is natural that Cervia hosts one of the most important sailing clubs along the whole coast of the Adriatic with some 300 learners registered and offers the possibility to test themselves at different types of sailing.
The sailing club in Cervia distinguishes itself for its culture and history. Every year it organises numerous events such as the arrival of the Sailing “Giro d’Italia”. As always, much energy is focused on teaching sailing skills. A number of professionals are ready to welcome you and help you become familiar with the sea in one of the most prestigious Sailing Schools in Italy.

The Pinewood of San Vitale is the largest and northernmost part of the green belt that used to separate the sea from the city of Ravenna. In the pinewood, wet lowlands alternate with higher areas derived from ancient ranges of sand dunes (the so-called “staggi”).
Clearings open in the middle of a pine, ash, white poplar and oak forest, where many trees are immersed in water to the trunk.

Milano Marittima is a town of tennis
The town boasts a high number of red clay courts, giving you the chance to practice your favourite sport during your holiday. Cervia Tennis Club, which is bordered by the shady, centuries old maritime pine wood, is the town’s core of tennis activity, and can meet the needs of those keen on tennis by offering a series of tailor-made services for tennis players.
The courts are the club’s strong point: they are of good quality, well-kept and were the venue of the 1982 Davis Cup. Moreover, Cervia hosts the VIP Master in July. The Vip Master is a long-lived trendy sports event which brings together the most famous celebrities in the world of entertainment, culture and sport during the summer. Dozens of combative celebrities are ready to challenge one another with their rackets to win the prestigious tournament.
